Biosphere srl is looking for a Technician to join our team in Forlì (FC), Italy.
We are a fast-growing company in the field of industrial biotechnology and fermentation process development.
You will work inside cutting-edge laboratories and process equipment to run biological and chemical processes.
🧪 Key Responsibilities
- Plant Operation: Run and monitor laboratory, pilot, and industrial plant equipment.
- Analysis & Quality Control: Perform chemical and microbiological analysis to check processes and products.
- Process Development: Take part in upstream, downstream, and biocatalysis activities.
- Data & Documentation: Fill out batch records and technical reports.
- Maintenance: Clean systems and calibrate laboratory instruments.
📋 Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma in Chemistry/Biotech/Agriculture, or a University Degree in STEM (Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology).
- Languages: Fluent in Italian and a good knowledge of professional English.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and analytical skills.
- Flexibility: Ready to work on shifts, including occasional night shifts or weekends when needed.
- Preferred: hands-on operational experience with pilot- or industrial-scale fermenters and chemical reactors.
📈 Levels of Experience
- Technician I (Junior): Entry-level role. You will learn the processes and work closely with our facility and science teams until you achieve full autonomy. At least 6 months of lab experience is required.
- Technician II (Middle): At least 2 years of experience in a similar role. You can manage tasks, projects, and communication independently.
- Technician Sr (Senior): Leadership role. You will manage teams of technicians and act as a bridge between production and other departments.
